Oral Interpretation

Home  \  Co-Curricular  \  Oral Interpretation
Oral Interpretation allows students to get a taste of performing onstage as part of a large vocal ensemble as they make literary works come to life.  An annual festival allows Oral Interpretation students to demonstrate their talents before schools from around the Clovis Unified School District.

Group:

Group oral interpretation is a choral recitation of a poem or story.  The group of children, 5th-6th graders, learn creative movement to enhance the delivery of the often humorous story.  The performance has taken place the last few years at the Performance Arts Center at Clovis North High School.

Everyone interested in joining is welcome.  All the children learn the appreciation of literature interpretation, oral language and the skills it requires, and working together as a group.  They also have a lot of fun along the way.  Rehearsals are typically held before school.  Scripts are distributed at the beginning of the month in November.
